On a sunny day, without a care,
I put on shades that were quite rare,
With lenses dark and frames so cool,
They made me feel like such a fool.
For they were cheap sunglasses, oh so clear,
Bought for a bargain, nothing to fear,
But as I strolled along the street,
I soon felt heat beneath my feet.
The plastic frames began to melt,
And the lenses fogged, it was my fault I felt,
For my cheap sunglasses were no match,
For the scorching sun's intense dispatch.
I stumbled and tripped, my vision impaired,
As people stared and people stared,
With shades askew, a lopsided look,
I felt like I was in a comedy book.
So take my advice, don't be swayed,
By cheap sunglasses on display,
Invest in quality, protect your sight,
And enjoy the sunshine with clear delight!
