Oil painting on canvas in the style of Van Gogh and just a touch of Gustav Klimt, with clearly visible, expressive brushstrokes and tactile impasto, portraying a pale-skinned woman with a voluminous white afro and an oversized white wrap draped around her body. Her face with round-shaped eyes, with the irises as the primary focal point. The irises are rendered as watercolor paintings: translucent layers of blue, green and pink pigments, softly blended within the natural boundaries of each iris, with subtle wet-on-wet diffusion, delicate pigment granulation and visible watercolour brush texture. The blue, green and pink watercolour palette remains visible exclusively within the irises, with the colours softly extending across the iris surface in delicate translucent washes, with no watercolour pigmentation, no coloured under-eye area and no eyeshadow. She holds korat cat against her chest, with sea green eyes catching subtle highlights. Set her against a flat, saturated navy-blue field with minimal background detail, emphasizing the stark contrast between the white hair, white fabric, dark fruit, and blue ground. Editorial and strange, with an austere, uncanny fashion-image quality rather than anything cute or whimsical. Centered, waist-up composition with deliberate negative space, sculptural shapes, muted natural light, restrained facial expression, and a sophisticated, slightly surreal atmosphere. ©Sorrah
An oil painting of a woman with white hair shaped like cumulus clouds and blue-violet eyes holding a dark gray cat with blue-green eyes. The woman is draped in a white cloak with golden, Klimt-esque geometric details along the edges. The background is a solid deep navy blue. The thick impasto technique is visible throughout, creating a heavily textured, sculptural effect on the canvas, particularly in the hair and clothing.
