Oil painting of three large, deep red and fiery orange iris flowers in full bloom, accompanied by several tightly closed buds, surrounded by lush green foliage and blades of grass against a soft, sunlit, impressionistic background with dappled light.
An oil painting with heavy impasto depicts three fully bloomed ruffled orange-red irises and several closed buds in a garden setting, rendered in a realistic yet impressionistic style. The flowers, with petals of rich rust orange and deep crimson hues, have ruffled edges and prominent central veins. The central iris is slightly lower than the flanking two, creating a balanced composition. The buds, tightly sealed in their green sheaths, are interspersed throughout the frame, some taller than the blooms, adding verticality. Long, pointed green leaves with pale veins fan out from the base, contrasting with the dark background. The background is a textured mosaic of soft greens, yellows, and blues, suggesting foliage and dappled sunlight filtering through trees. The light highlights the thick, raised strokes of paint, creating a sense of texture and depth.
