The Clawsome Catastrophe
There once was a kitten, as bold as could be,
Who purred with delight at the sight of a tree.
Not just any tree, oh no, not at all—
This one was shiny and sparkly and tall!
Tooks was his name, a mischievous sprite,
With eyes full of wonder and paws poised for flight.
He circled the tree with a wiggle and pounce,
Planning his climb with a bounce and a flounce.
Up he went, like a furry tornado,
Past candy canes, angels, and one sad potato.
Baubles were swatted, tinsel was shredded,
Shadow just sighed, “This is so what I dreaded.”
Higher he climbed, his tail in a whirl,
Knocking down ribbons and one plastic squirrel.
But then came disaster, as trees often tip—
Down went the star in a glittering flip!
CRASH went the tree in a terrible tumble,
Tooks landed safely but looked rather humble.
The humans came running, their jaws open wide,
While Tooks just sat grooming with kittenish pride.
So now every Christmas, the tale is retold—
Of the clawsome catastrophe, daring and bold.
For though the tree fell, and the cleanup was grim,
Tooks knows in his heart… it was worth every whim.
