The Bible describes a spiritual man as someone who is led by the Holy Spirit and can discern all things. The Bible also says that a person's spirit is their life force, which God breathed into Adam and each person at the beginning of creation. This spirit gives people a sense of self and some God-like qualities, such as free will. However, the Bible also says that the human spirit was damaged when Adam sinned, which broke his ability to connect with God. According to the Bible, a person's spirit man is activated at the point of salvation, when their spirit reconnects with the Spirit of God. This gives them access to the God-realm and empowers them to operate in it.
