An otherworldly angel with large, feathered wings and long dark hair kneels solemnly on the ground in a dimly lit, weathered gothic cathedral. The angel wears a simple, light-colored tunic and is barefoot, with visible exposed skin on its back and feet. One of its large, intricately detailed wings extends to the left, slightly cut off by the left edge of the frame. In the foreground, scattered on the gray stone floor, are remnants of a large book, a broken sword with ornate details, and various bones, including a skull and rib cage.

The gothic cathedral itself is vast and appears ancient. Sunlight streams through a large, circular stained-glass rose window high up on the back wall, casting ethereal rays of light and dust motes into the chamber, highlighting the angel.
