Surreal humorous art, magical realism. An evening street in Ancient Rome, lavishly decorated and lit by torches. Roman citizens in festive clothes stand and rejoice along the walls of rich old mansions. A blood-red sunset is burning out in the sky. The cobbled street is covered with a layer of countless overripe fruits: pomegranates, grapes and apples. Four slaves with pink mohawks on their heads are walking along the street. They carry a platform richly decorated with flowers and gilding. On the platform stands on its hind legs a vicious, depraved two-meter frog in a purple toga. On its head it has a golden laurel wreath, its eyes are outlined with a thick layer of antimony, and its cheeks are blushed. In its right paw the frog holds a thyrsus entwined with ivy. The feeling of the presence of an ancient deity fills everyone with ancient pagan energy. Great composition, powerful contrast, chiaroscuro, vibrant colors, exceptional detail, crisp quality, a masterpiece.
