It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, an illustrated fable by Gabriel Pacheco, Leo Lionni, and Dick Ket
The prompt, "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live" was an admonishment from Albus Dumbledor to Harry Potter about using the Mirror of Erised. The mirror is engraved across the top with these words: “Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi.” Read backwards, as if in a mirror, the message says, “I show not your face but your heart’s desire.”
