Mice skate on a frozen pond between the trees. An orange and white cat sits on a high bank above a pond and watches mice skating. The shiny frozen surface reflects the gray mice, and there are remnants of snow on the trees and around the pond. There are holes in the slopes around the mice.
The water, swollen after the last thaw, has frozen into a crystal clear surface, and the mice are enjoying skating. The cat came here for dinner, but she won't catch mice that are now very fast and she would slip if she try. She will probably have to give up and go home for cat kibble and milk.
