High, high on a hill. A woman in full bridal attire waits for her dear love, who never shows up. She is caught forever in this waiting pose. flowers begin to fall, her train and veil are just slightly disarranged, but all only serves to enhance her unearthly beauty. Like an autumn sunset, the bright orange blossoms of Snapdragon ‘Cool Orange’ (Antirrhinum majus) are flushed with a rosy glow on their undersides. The 6" turrets of blooms also terminate in rose-colored buds, further adding to the drama. A flower arranger’s dream, this Snap was a definite standout in our trials and was still blooming in the gardens in early September. We found pinching the plants back helped encourage more upright growth.
