A Japanese American woman and cat work together in the kitchen on roasting sweet peppers. This is what "zero waste" looks like outside of Japan. Plentiful veggies from Mediterranean and Eastern European culture. It's not too Japanese at all! Even when we bring the Zero waste concept. There are few choices for the common surplus.
