A small, slender mongoose with coarse, brindled grey fur on its back and sides, and reddish-orange fur on its underbelly, stands on a sunlit, sandy-brown ground speckled with small rocks and pebbles. Its small, dark eyes look to the right, and its small pink nose points slightly forward. The mongoose has short legs and small paws with visible claws. Its tail, covered in fur similar to its back, is curled slightly to the left, near a bushy green plant with thin, spiky leaves that fills the left side of the frame. In the background, out of focus, are more similar green bushes and bare branches. The sunlight creates distinct shadows on the ground below the mongoose and the plant, indicating a bright, outdoor setting.
