The stars, though bright, seem far away,
Faint echoes of a bygone day.
The ocean’s song, a lullaby,
For dreams that once learned how to fly.
The streets lie still, where life once teemed,
Echoes of voices, now soft as dreams.
Empty windows, eyes without light,
Stare into a sky devoid of night.
A city of shadows, abandoned and bare,
Where time collapsed in the thin, still air.
Yet if you listen, beneath the hush,
The whispers remain in the quietest rush.
For though the world has ceased to be,
The empty buildings still hum softly—
A lullaby for what once was whole,
The broken heartbeat of a forgotten soul.
