Wrangel Island is a remote and uninhabited island located in the Arctic Ocean north of Siberia, on the International Date Line. Despite its isolation, it has a rich history, having been home to the last surviving population of woolly mammoths. These mammoths survived on the island until approximately 4,000 years ago, making them the last known mammoths to have lived on Earth.

There were no polar cats, ever, apart from in dreams.
