Jacob, in Canaan, received a call,
To journey to Egypt, a foreign thrall,
His sons had told him of Joseph's fate,
His heart now eager, but filled with weight.
He packed his household, his flocks and kin,
With hope and trepidation, he did begin,
The long, uncertain journey west,
To reunite with his son, he was blessed.
He reached Beersheba, a place of old,
Where God had spoken, in times untold,
He offered sacrifices, seeking God's will,
His heart with longing, yet fears to still.
God spoke to Jacob, in dreams so clear,
Assuring him of His presence near,
He promised to make him a mighty nation,
In Egypt's land, a divine destination.
So Jacob journeyed, with all his kin,
To Egypt's land, a new begin,
With wagons sent by Joseph's hand,
The reunion imminent, as planned.
Father and son, in a tearful embrace,
A moment of joy, a cherished space,
The family reunited, their hearts aglow,
A journey of faith, in God's will they sow.
In Genesis 46, a tale of trust,
A journey of hope, through trials thrust,
God's guidance leading, their steps aligned,
A story of faith, so beautifully designed.
