Dove Beard Ascending

More about Dove Beard Ascending

A highly detailed, intricate pencil drawing of an older man with a full beard and mustache, looking upwards towards the right. The man's hair is wavy and appears to be in motion. His beard and mustache are comprised of numerous white doves, some in flight, emerging from his facial hair and extending into the sky to the right of his face. The doves form a dense pattern, with their bodies and wings creating the texture and form of the beard, and then transitioning into a flock of flying birds. The drawing features a monochromatic palette of grays and whites, with fine line work and shading. The background on the right side of the image depicts a cloudy sky with more doves flying further away, becoming smaller and less distinct. The man's face shows wrinkles, suggesting age, and his eye is open, directed towards the flying doves.
