A portal to the stars, it stood so grand,
A cosmic gateway to a distant land,
A swirling vortex of celestial light,
Beckoning explorers to take flight.
Its surface shimmered with colors bright,
A cosmic spectacle, a breathtaking sight,
A gateway to worlds yet unexplored,
Where secrets and mysteries were stored.
Astronauts in awe, with hearts afire,
Stepped through the portal, fueled by desire,
To travel through the vast expanse of space,
To seek new frontiers, a thrilling chase.
They soared through nebulas, stardust and mist,
On an interstellar voyage, a cosmic tryst,
Encountering alien lifeforms along the way,
Learning from them, night and day.
They marveled at planets with rings and moons,
Explored landscapes of alien dunes,
Witnessed supernovae and quasars ablaze,
In the uncharted reaches of cosmic haze.
But time and space, unforgiving foes,
Tick-tocked relentlessly, as time flows,
The astronauts knew they must return,
Their hearts heavy with lessons to learn.
With fond farewells, they stepped back through,
The space portal that had brought them anew,
To their home planet, Earth so blue,
With memories of adventures true.
The portal closed, a cosmic door,
But the yearning for the stars would endure,
For in their hearts, a seed was sown,
A thirst for the unknown, yet to be known.
And so, the tale of the space portal's flight,
Would echo through the ages, a beacon of light,
Guiding humanity to explore and dream,
To seek the cosmos, a celestial theme.
