"The portal to hell, lithograph, fauvist, bauhaus distressed, chromatic aberration, scanlines, circuit bending, signal noise. There is a nameless mood abroad in the world today, a feeling in the blood of more than a few people, an expectation of worse things to come, a readiness to riot, a mistrust of everything one reveres."
A dark and atmospheric screen-printed illustration shows a large arched entryway leading to a smaller set of open double doors, revealing a glowing orange and red swirling pattern on the floor and a bright orange light above the doorway. The large arch is divided into two halves, the left side glowing red and the right side glowing teal, both with dark, drippy textures. Above the smaller doorway, a large, glowing orange-yellow sun is partially obscured by dark, spiky, dripping forms that appear to melt into the top of the wall below. The walls and floor within the main arched area are dark teal with textured, weathered appearances, showing hints of the red glow from the left side of the arch and also showing a wood-planked floor in the foreground. The overall style has a distressed, textured, and slightly unsettling quality, resembling a woodcut or linocut print.
