The pearly gates of Heaven
Shimmer in the light
And through those gates, I know
My soul will take its flight.
The gates stand open wide
Inviting me inside
To walk the streets of gold
And be with Christ who died.
No more pain or sorrow
No more tears to cry
Just endless joy and love
And never-ending sky.
The throne of God awaits
Where angels sing His praise
And I will bow before Him
Lost in His holy gaze.
So, let the trumpets sound
And let the bells all chime
For I am going home
To Heaven's perfect clime.
