[CONTINUED] This is part three. (Read the prior parts to get the context). Soon the citizens of Arialville longed to explore the outside world, to see if they can help it with its many problems (such as Crime, War, Famine, and Superego). They ask the Great Pianola Computer (which they have named Janet Sebastian Batch) for a solution, and out comes the number 137 (I bet you expected 42 here). They looked it up in the Vandanai dictionary, and it gave the word "Plushie". Plushie? Ah, we should all become plushies! Then we can merge unnoticed into the "World" and be loved for what we are, rather than be ridiculed (luckily the term "gaslighted" had not been invented, as there were no nearby coal mines, and the town was powered mysteriously by an ecological mix of ionospheric and solar-neutrino energy -- no nuclear here Jimmy). So to the outside world, this mysterious "ghost town" suddenly came into view, with hundreds of plushies scattered around, which were soon integrated into the ambient Human civilization...
