A whimsical mixed-media oil painting of a sorrowful, slumped Grim Reaper sitting on a weathered coastal rock, staring down in defeat at a classic wooden chess set with pieces scattered. In the foreground, a delightfully joyful person is skipping and dancing away triumphantly down a sunlit sandy beach. Textured brushstrokes, collage elements, rich oil paint impasto, playful melancholic mood, vibrant contrasting colour palette of moody blues and warm golden sunlight, charming folk art style. Very tiny signature JKW
An oil painting with thick brush strokes shows a beach scene. On the beach, the Grim Reaper and a child play chess. Death wears a black robe and a white skull with dark eye sockets. The child wears a colourful shirt with long sleeves and jeans. The child is jumping up in the air with joy and a smile on his face, celebrating his victory. The Grim Reaper is sitting down with a depressed expression on his face. He is looking at the chess board. There are scattered chess pieces lying around on the sand. The background shows a beach with a blue ocean with small waves and a clear sky.
