Humans will try to turn ANY problem into a rat race. It starts almost from birth, with your parents' "conditional love" (sic) : "If you do this, I will give you this", or "If you don't do what I tell you, you must go to your room", etc. The slavery continues at school, with random bullying by those who consider themselves to be "in loco parentis" (in the place of parents). No political system is immune from those systems of social control : Capitalism with its financial rewards and penalties, Communism with its resource scarcities, and Religion with its hidden dogmas. Despite all offers from other humans, temptations and punishments, each one of us must dynamically learn to control our own lives. Failure to do so will open ourselves to enforced control from outside. IT'S UP TO YOU!
