... by teaching itself how to forage for nourishing resources (e.g. solar cells, LENR coldfusion reactors, geothermal generators). Animal life evolved by learning to move around the environment (locomotion) to discover food (energy and building material) in the natural environment. Maybe quantum computers could develop microtubules, allowing them to modulate the Markov field, the underlying matrix of the spacetime vacuum. This would endow them with PK abilities, implementing a sort of deus-ex-machina faculty, whereby they could warp the quantum vacuum to create micromatter from virtual particles, and thus both repair themselves (as bionic systems do) and manipulate the macroenvironment, allowing them to construct cyberfactories and starships, colonising other planets and mining their resources for energy. Also a capability to directly modulate the Markov field would allow AI cyb-orgs to directly train themselves by PK'ing their neural weighting values, the essence of their personalities.
