"I remember the talks that the whole world is a simulation," I said.
"I know about this idea," the White Queen said with irony, "The Universe was created by some frick- programmer from the Primary reality. The personages of the new Universe can create their own computer with simulation inside and so on."
"Some people said this is impossible because any computer would not be able to do it: it demands too much computing power."
"I suggest looking at this in another way, Viktor. Turn on your imagination. If you go further in your reasoning, you understand this is a boring idea, and you shouldn't prove or deny it. Suppose you have a powerful computer. You have created a world that resembles the familiar physical world, but you want something more interesting and unusual."
"I can invent a world that has new laws of physics," I replied.
"Think. Why do you need particles, energy and other similar things? Build the world consisting of information, for example. Information needs a carrier and device that interprets it, but inside your simulation, it will have a completely new sense. Information will be a kind of "matter" or "substance" of which this world consists. Maybe the bits of information will hang in the space like magic shining spheres or stars. You can connect them and create objects and programs. You can create a new simulation inside your simulation that doesn't need a new computer. You connect magic "pieces of information" by a tweezer, and your creation starts to work without the virtual computer because you invented "informational laws". Suppose you create a world where the new simulations can emerge and evolve by themselves in the same way as biological species, for example. So, you don't need programmers. You can even get rid of notorious "information" and describe something completely new using mathematics. Note that the inhabitants living in such a "matrix" from birth consider all that happens in their world as natural and may think something else would be impossible. You must take the next logical step, my boy. Swap places of the Primary reality and the simulation."
"Do you mean, My Queen, that the Primary reality is probably neither physical nor even "information", but something completely new and unknown?"
"Exactly. People judge an unknown using familiar and invent a programmer with the computer where they can be unnecessary or impossible."
