Inspired bya 3 dimensional steampunk-style artwork of two mechanical guinea pigs under a tree against a black background. The rust-orange plating, teal verdigris patina, and blue-gray steel look convincingly weathered, and the rivets and overlapping panels give the bodies real depth. The larger guinea pig: Its eye is a brass gear with a red jewel at the center, and its belly has little spoked wheels where feet or a mechanism might be. There's also a small embossed nameplate on its chest. The smaller guinea pig: The teal head, polished brass nose, and gear-ringed eye give it a gentler, more charming look than its partner. Wire-and-gear flowers, a woven metal pod near the big guinea pig's feet, rusted leaves, and braided chain "bark" fill the scene. The black background makes the warm and cool colors pop, and the two guinea pigs lean toward each other in a way that feels almost tender.
A still life close up of two mechanical guinea pigs made from brass, copper, and turquoise-painted metal plates, held together with tiny rivets and gears, in an outdoor setting at night. The larger guinea pig on the right has a rounder body with a patina on its copper and turquoise plating. Its eye is a glowing red jewel surrounded by golden gears. Other brass gears decorate its body, including a large one on its side and smaller ones near its ears. The smaller guinea pig on the left is positioned slightly in front of the larger one, facing right. It features a bright brass snout, a turquoise-plated head and chest, and copper flanks. Its eye is a black marble framed by a small gear. Both creatures stand on a flat surface with brown leaves and metallic flowers scattered around them. Behind them, a gnarled metallic tree with textured bark and leaves extends its branches upward. The background is a stark black, emphasizing the detailed textures and warm lighting of the metallic figures.
