In the golden grass of youth, he lay,
A boy beneath a sky’s soft sway.
Creatures formed in clouds adrift,
His dreams were boundless, a spirit uplift.
Time unfurled, from weeks to years,
A man forged by war, carved by tears.
Battles won, yet peace denied,
The scars ran deep, where hope once lied.
He built a home, love’s tender grace,
Yet shadows lingered, memories’ trace.
His country changed, its truth betrayed,
The land he’d bled for, now decayed.
Leaders hollow, hearts turned stone,
A freedom lost, a tyranny grown.
They stole his kin to fields of dread,
Where minds were silenced, souls misled.
Once strong, now frail, he faced the end,
A cross of sorrow, his lifelong friend.
With trembling breath, he glimpsed afar,
A world reborn, beyond the scar.
And there, at last, his soul found peace,
In death’s embrace, his war would cease.
