ArtistA blonde woman with uncombed hair sits on a worn double bed with rumpled, light-blue silk bedding, wearing a creased and torn, extremely short yellow satin dress with lace trim and spaghetti straps. Rose tattoos adorn her inner upper thighs and arms. Her face appears sleep-deprived and dissolute. She holds a whiskey glass and a cigarette, near an ashtray overflowing with butts, liquor bottles, and glasses. Pale light illuminates the scene, creating a somber, brothel-like atmosphere. Expressive oil painting in a chiaroscuro style, with vivid colors and dramatic shadows, reminiscent of the works of Caravaggio and Francis Bacon.
