They were called Squashy and Squishy, but they are now (usually) called Lynlyns and Janaila, or sweet thing and cuddlewoos :) Oh, I bought the plnk one first, in a closing furniture shop (where the bejewelled gothic dress many drawings back, was for sale, but by the weight of it, it would have been FAR too heavy to swim in, even for Ophelia, so I bought the plushie instead). And I bought the cyan one in my favourite local charity shop -- Sue Ryder -- same place that I bought Sheila, and my "Home Theatre" DVD player :) Squashy and Sheila were £3 each (bargainville!) and Squishy was £5. Best value ever since my mum bought "Squashy Lyndi" (of Last.fm fame) for fivepence in 1971 or so :) For comparison, Claire's charge £15 for a plushie :) Oh, and Wemwems was £10 in Crystal Palace Poundstretcher's and Janet and Julia were £15 the pair in the local Poundstretcher. Mummy Longlegs was £8 in Skegness (during the Poppy Playtime marketing campaign). So if you see a weird kaftan-wearing hippie with a pink plushie tied to the front of their kaftan, it's probably me :) (The little one tied to my purse is Alondra, a gift from an ex, and the one tied to my backpack is either Aurora (from Claire's) or Samantha (from the local market).
