More about The Aswang Poem

The Aswang

In the moonlit night, a creature lurks,
With fangs and claws, it hungrily works.
A fearsome legend, a beast of lore,
The aswang, a horror to abhor.
With wings that spread, a monstrous sight,
It takes to the sky, in the dead of night.
A shape-shifter, a creature of fright,
It preys on victims, out of sight.
Its hunger insatiable, its thirst for blood,
It seeks its prey in the neighborhood.
With stealth and cunning, it hunts its prey,
A creature feared, both night and day.
Beware the aswang's wicked ways,
Its glowing eyes, its gruesome gaze.
It feasts on flesh, it drinks blood too,
A creature of darkness, a creature anew.
So lock your doors, keep watch at night,
For the aswang may come, seeking a bite.
A creature of the dark, a creature to dread,
Beware the aswang, with fangs so red.
