The prelude to an autumn nocturne sadly caresses the imagination, painting pictures of times gone by, moments of which sometimes accidentally emerge from the depths of consciousness, returning an emotional and sensory state from the distant past for a fleetingly short time that no effort can prolong. All that remains is the capture of the flash of sensation in the image of an echo of once-experienced happiness, which became such only by taking root somewhere very deep in memory.
