An acrylic still life on canvas: three dark plums lie on a rough, unglazed ceramic bowl set on a weathered wooden table. The background is a deep, warm gray reminiscent of a rainy October sky; the light comes from the left and creates small, hard highlights on the plums, while the shadows are velvety and deep. The plums are not idealized: one has a slight dent, another a fine crack in the skin. The painting is representational, with visible but controlled brushstrokes; the acrylic paint is applied in thin layers so that the canvas texture shows through at the edges of the fruit. No accessories, no decorative leaves—the focus is on form, surface, and light.
A still life photograph shows a ceramic bowl filled with dark purple plums, with three more plums resting on the wooden surface in front of it. The bowl is a light gray, matte ceramic with a simple, round shape. It sits on a light-colored wooden table that has a visible grain and shows signs of wear, with some small knots and cracks. The plums in the bowl are stacked closely together, their smooth, glossy skin catching the light and creating highlights and shadows. The plums outside the bowl are arranged in a loose cluster. One plum on the left has a short, brown stem, while the plum in the center has a slightly longer, curving stem with a hint of green. The plum on the right has a long, straight brown stem that points to the right. The lighting is soft and directional, coming from the upper left, casting gentle shadows to the right of the bowl and the plums. The background is a plain, light gray wall, creating a clean and minimalist backdrop. The overall composition is balanced and serene, with a focus on the rich colors and smooth textures of the fruit.
