A movie poster for The Promise, every promise has a shadow. It features a portrait of a woman in the bottom left corner, looking down with a sorrowful expression. Her dark hair is adorned with cherry blossoms. In the background, a person in dark clothes sits atop a mountain peak, silhouetted against a large, glowing full moon. The background is composed of a textured, distressed canvas with splatters of pink, green, and grey paint, resembling a traditional Chinese ink wash painting with modern digital manipulation. Red Chinese characters are written vertically on the right side of the poster, next to a red stamp. The title The Promise is written in a simple white serif font at the bottom center.
