Oil on canvas, thick layers, impasto visible brush strokes: Dense birch forest in winter, next to a frozen stream. Snowflakes sparkle like silver particles in the air. Compared to white, other colours are lively vibrant and contrasting. The sun is shining on the frozen stream. Partly fairy-tale, whimsical scene. Several gnome houses are tucked in the snow, smoke billows from small chimneys. Each house is colourful and in the Van Gogh-Klimt manner (strictly houses, not surroundings), and the gnomes are in a festive mood. ©Sorrah

An impasto oil painting captures a whimsical winter birch forest beside a sunlit frozen stream. Vibrant, textured gnome houses nestled in the snow emit smoke from chimneys, creating a festive, fairy-tale scene with sparkling snowflakes dancing in the crisp air.
