More about Wizard Mithralia heads out on her phantom steed for a day's patrol

A young woman in a green outfit stands beside a black horse in a vast, open landscape. Teepees dot the background under a clear sky, creating a serene, natural atmosphere.

Mithralia "Mithi" Sil-Gan is the apprentice of one of the PC wizards in my campaign, and a fairly impressive wizard in her own right. The base image I used to generate this video was the result of several different image generation campaigns on DDG, with assists from Pixlr to get both her and a reasonably close approximation of the right coloration for a phantom steed into the same image. For whatever reason, the AI editor wouldn't create the horse of a different color even though I could generate it as an independent dream. I run into that a lot. And stirrups... yegods, why can't DDG generate stirrups?

If I'd followed the way she's usually described in stories where they're flying top cover or scouting on phantom steeds, she'd likely be in something more like a bomber jacket and a 'snoopy' helmet, but I went for more of a wizard robe.

I was quite curious to see what Runway would make of this image. The new Runway image generation always seems to start off fairly faithful to the supplied image, then quickly wanders off into doing its own thing. All the work I did to get a phantom steed colored properly and having a few other oddities you can't really see in daylight, and as soon as she mounts up the colors on the mane and tail change.

So far as i can tell for once it didn't mess with her face. The ponytail was a bit of a surprise, even if I guess it could kinda make sense, and she might have easily tied it back in the jump-cut. I shoulda thought to specify she put the goggles on before riding off... oh well, it would probably have ignored me anyway.

And, of course, the phantom steed doesn't fly off, and the dragging rein is a problem, ignoring for the moment you don't really need them for a phantom steed. The AI had no way of knowing the spell was cast by her master specifically to give her the ability to fly. Maybe the AI found her character sheet on Google Docs and knew she wasn't high enough level herself. <grin> I guess I've never actually TRIED to get a horse in flight before...
