More about Blessings in Famine - Genesis Chapter 47 Poem

In Egypt's land, the famine spread,
Jacob and his sons, with hunger led,
They sought for food, a desperate plight,
Before Joseph, their savior of might.
Joseph welcomed them with open arms,
As Pharaoh granted them fertile farms,
They settled in Goshen, a fertile land,
Provided for by Joseph's hand.
Jacob met Pharaoh, a meeting grand,
A blessing given, by God's command,
He praised the Lord, with grateful heart,
For Joseph's rise, a vital part.
Pharaoh respected Joseph's clan,
He granted them the best of land,
He honored Jacob, with favor bright,
For Joseph's sake, a kingly sight.
The famine worsened, the people cried,
They sold their land, with nothing to hide,
Joseph bought their cattle, their land and store,
Providing food, and giving more.
He kept the people alive, with care,
In Egypt's land, a blessing rare,
Despite the famine's dreadful toll,
God's faithfulness, shone through the soul.
In Genesis 47, a tale of need,
Of blessings given, in time of greed,
God's provision, in famine's strife,
A story of hope, in the midst of life.
