When darkness fell over the village of Naris, the great full moon found Arani and her two friends, Shaiya and Kahle, venturing into the eerie fogs of the Winter Wood. As the three adventurers donned their bows and arrows, looking cautiously about, none suspected the peril in which they were placing themselves. For at night, the Winter Wood comes to life. Though most of its inhabitants are peaceful creatures, there are those that lurk which see all, and will stop at nothing to destroy unwary travelers, unless held at bay by the Queen of the Wood herself. Arani, Shaiyla and Kahle had been walking for no more than 15 minutes through the mist when they heard a rustling on the path ahead...
