A detailed, close-up photograph of a magnificent, large-scale ceramic sculpture depicting a reclining woman's head and hair. The sculpture is rendered in the traditional Chinese blue and white porcelain style, with intricate floral and dragon motifs painted in shades of cobalt blue on a glossy white glazed surface. The enormous face features closed eyes, a prominent nose, and glossy, deep red lips, and it is fractured into numerous pieces meticulously reassembled using the Japanese kintsugi technique, where the cracks are highlighted with shimmering gold. The woman’s hair is not made of strands, but rather rendered as a turbulent cascade of broken porcelain shards and ribbons. Within this chaotic ceramic hair, dozens of smaller, pale faces peek out from the scrolls and folds, each with delicate features and closed or downcast eyes, creating a surreal and hypnotic effect. The entire sculpture rests on a bed of scattered, broken blue and white porcelain shards, also repaired with gold seams. The background is a stark, solid black, making the glossy white and vibrant blue of the porcelain sculpture stand out with dramatic intensity, captured under soft, diffused lighting that emphasizes the smooth ceramic curves and the glittering gold lines of the kintsugi repair.
