Inspired by a photo of Mohamed Aziz, a 76-year-old bookseller born in 1948 in Rabat, Morocco, spends between 6 and 8 hours a day reading books. During his life, he read more than 5,000 works in French, Arabic and English. After more than 43 years in the same place, he remains the oldest bookseller in Rabat.
When asked why he left his books unattended outside, where they could be stolen, he replied: “Those who cannot read do not steal books, and those who can read are not thieves.”
