“Dinner for One,” in which a butler pours wine for an elderly lady sitting alone at a table with six empty chairs; in the background is a dresser with a mirror, and a bearskin rug lies on the floor, depicted as a pencil sketch
A black and white pencil sketch depicting a well-dressed man, a butler, pouring wine from a bottle into a glass for an elderly woman sitting at a dining table. The man is wearing a white dress shirt, a black vest, and a black bow tie, standing to the left of the table and leaning forward to pour the wine. The woman is seated in a dining chair with an oval back, her back to the viewer, and is wearing a long-sleeved dress. The table is covered with a white tablecloth and set with plates, cutlery, wine glasses, and a small metal pitcher. The dining table and chairs are placed on a light-colored wooden floor, with a patterned rug underneath. In the background, there is a chest of drawers with an ornate mirror above it, reflecting the room, and a door on the right. The text "Dinner for One" is written in a black, cursive font across the top of the image.
