cephalapods wonder why their world is under assault by humanity ... image done in harshly edgy surrealism
A horror comic book art style illustration depicting a massive, red-hued octopus-like creature, Cthulhu, with an armored head, multiple large tentacles, and large eyes. The creature is at the center of the image, surrounded by chaos and destruction. Buildings are on fire, and several smaller, tentacled creatures with glowing eyes, resembling mutated skulls, are emerging from the flames. The scene is filled with panicked humans, some of whom are soldiers with spears and other weapons, attempting to fight the creatures. Other humans are depicted as refugees, running away or huddled together in fear. The background shows a burning city under a dark, apocalyptic sky with what appears to be two moons or planets. The overall color palette is dominated by intense reds, oranges, and purples, creating a sense of urgency and terror. The art style is bold with strong outlines and cross-hatching for shading, characteristic of comic book illustrations.
