NAME = Arctium lappa, grass burdock, clotbur, bardana, burr seed, more...
FOOD = roots, seeds, leaves, Similar in taste and texture to Salsify, which is well known in French cuisine. Prized as a vegetable by the Hapanese for centuries, cultivated under the name of Gobo, more...
MEDICINAL, roots = reduction of inflammation, diuretic, one of the best blood purifiers, more...
OTHER = Native to Europe, found in every province of Canada, though more abundant in the East
FUN = Try making bur sculptures, but do handle with care (or gloves), as they break easily, also small hairs may prove to be itchy.
