ArtistThere once was a garden laid deep in a tale Far down by the edge of the Whisperlands veil Where stars set in daylight could dance in the breeze And willows spin tales out of dahlia leaves. One step in the garden, one hundred years by They say in this garden lived phantoms of light And down at the brook where tears form a river A guardian stands silent, silent forever. Her roots run deep where the voice of wisdom flows And bathed in the starlight Eternity grows Her leaves are like diamonds that shatter the night Her branches are catching the stars from their heights A tangle of vines wraps her from head to knee And phantoms bow down at her feet, The Eternity tree But Eternity cloaks herself from our view They walked with the stars in the highest of heights Till down they fell into children of night Deception walked among those who would listen Cloaked in the light of Eternity’s garden The voice of wisdom shook Eternity’s stars And shattered the light of the garden. Cast out into darkness, no way to get home Some where’s a garden where God’s wisdom flows And weathered by sorrows, Eternity grows.
