Michigan dreaming, oh how sweet
Of forests, lakes, and sandy beach
Where Great Lakes touch the sky so blue
And windswept dunes are waiting too
A land of beauty, pure and wild
Where nature's wonders run so mild
Of cherry trees that bloom in spring
And autumn leaves that dance and sing
The winters bring a magic spell
With snowflakes falling, oh so well
A wonderland of frosted trees
Where sleds and skis and skates do please
In summer's heat, we seek the shore
Of freshwater waves that never bore
A beach so long, it seems to end
With sunsets that our hearts do rend
Oh Michigan dreaming, how we yearn
For all the joys that we do learn
A place of memories, deep and true
Of love and laughter, for me and you.
