I think maybe OCD and Collecting/Hoarding qualify as a form of Diversity; certainly as a form of Neurodivergence (sp?). I grew up in a household where my father was obsessed with old radios, old tellies, and random antique electronics. Hence maybe my limerence with computers, way back before my maths teacher (Aggy B.) taught us Fortran in 1971. My mum was similarly obsessed with the occult and philosophy, though I do tend to try and take a slightly more skeptical approach. She was always giving me her old dresses, and cuddly toys/plushies (hence my nowadays collection). Instead of lots of hugs from my parents, I tended just get stuff, toys, stuff, and random "useful" bits. I soon had a whole attic full of them, which took ages to sort through when I moved out. During COVID I started buying random "may come in useful" bits again, but at least I can choose to stop, usually when I run out of space in my 3 room bedsit :) I now have a nice collection of 90 or so kaftans, umbrella dresses, and tons of pairs of shoes, DVD movies, DOS games, LP's and cassettes (none of resell value). I also enjoy writing my own retro operating system/programming language ::SHE+ILA:: :) Always fill your day with wonderful things!
