So, I'm one of the losers right? So basically my upscaler story is that if you look at the base image for this, I had entered it in the cat on the bridge contest, #11th entry. But I really wanted to withdraw because I think these things are better for children especially with the mean voting. Where winners are barely hovering around the 3.0 Mark of five.
But maybe it's truthful... That these prompts actually do suck that bad
I decided that the base image that I created was to 1990s. And I planned on evolving it. But I wanted it to be put in the upscaler.
And when I did that
I got an awful image back
And for some reason everything, last night I looked through for an hour and a half, had a broken chain with the upscaler and I lost the original prompt as well as being able to reuse this image during the contest. The upscaler also, stopped feeding the upscales to my dream feed when I made them dreams. This was the main killer for me.
And by the time I got to looking on videos, I saw someone had already created their cartoon from keyframe. So I really didn't want to be in the contest. I just wanted to be able to upscale and create animation.
But that didn't happen.
Yeah I had entered it and withdrawn it but had substituted a different image that seemed okay. Nothing over the top nothing I expected to place well with.
I didn't withdraw because, it seemed like entering the contest had some impact on the chain of my prompts. Really simple I entered the contest and things started to disappear as I prompted. So I wound up with a pile of cat prompts because I decided that these might disappear or the upscaler will mangle them and I would need backups.
I really wasn't looking to prompt this many cat keyframes. I was pretty content with the first one that I was able to evolve considerably. Simply to get the paw to the correct length where it was somewhat anatomically believable.
So my apologies to everyone for this lengthy post description. This is me telling my story. I won't be entering any more contests because also reading the legal is time consuming though interesting.
I can't say for certain where they're going to be pulling the Aurora from, but if it's from the cabin photo on the NASA website--it is clearly copyrighted by the photographer.
I just don't know how these contests are set up but I'm looking at the legal perspective of having UK bridges in the cat one. And the panoramic laws being welcoming. Though these days I am just an end user ordering up an image. And I understand that I don't have any rights if I upload anything serious.
So I've kept it lite. I still enjoy seeing these beautiful images emerge. Even if they aren't contest winners.
And the last contest I decided to vote mostly fours and fives. Simply because I don't want to break someone's heart because they fell in love with an image that they prompted. The AI does a wonderful job here, generally speaking.
