A very good looking woman and a very good looking man huddled against each other with worried expression on their faces. Thick billowy clouds surround the woman and man. The clouds are mostly purple but turn green near the horizon. At the horizon is a city with a large capitol style building. Huge, bright fiery flash at other side of building. Entire sky looks as if on fire.
British author M P Shiel wrote a science fiction novel titled THE PURPLE CLOUD which was first published at the very beginning of the 20th Century. In the novel humanity was destroyed by a cloud of toxic gas; only one man was left, the hero of the novel, who would later discover a woman. The novel was praised by both Lovecraft and H G Wells, and later in 1949 it was republished by a sci-fi magazine with a cover drawn for it (by a certain Lawrence Sterne Stevens, I suspect). Here I tried to 'reproduce' the cover art, partly for the fun of finding out how the AI would handle it.
