In Bethlehem, Ruth toiled with care,
Gleaning grain with humble flare,
Her eyes downcast, her heart sincere,
Her faith in God, forever clear.
Boaz, a kind and wealthy man,
Beheld her with a generous plan,
He asked his workers, "Who is she?"
The answer filled him with empathy.
They spoke of Ruth's unwavering grace,
Her loyalty and humble pace,
Boaz approached with words of praise,
Her heart was filled with grateful rays.
He offered her protection's shade,
And more than barley, he conveyed,
Her labor blessed with bounteous share,
She praised the Lord in grateful prayer.
With joyful heart, Ruth homeward went,
Her faith and courage truly lent,
A tale of grace, in Ruth Chapter 2,
Of God's provision, ever true.
