More about Freyja and her feathered cloak.

The base image is an old text2dream that was built primarily with the style of Virgil Finlay.

In Norse mythology, Freyja (Old Norse "(the) Lady") is a goddess associated with love, beauty, fertility, sex, war, gold, and seiðr (magic for seeing and influencing the future). Freyja rides to war in a chariot pulled by two cats and possesses a cloak of falcon feathers. In one tale, Loki asks if he may use Freyja's "falcon shape" to fly north. In her sorrow Freyja weeps tears of red gold, thus a way to refer to gold is "Freyja's tears".
