I walk along the sidewalk by the road on an already familiar night route. To the tune of 'Abracadabra' performed by Lady Gaga, sounding from a car that sped ahead, the bitterness of the departing summer spread inside me. The tear that had welled up stayed with me. When another summer passes, it is always saddening. More or less, but invariably. It is precisely with the warmth of these short months that ordinary life is measured. The collapse of unmet expectations is felt most sharply with the loss of the sense of well-being from the warmth around. There are still a few summer nights left, which will pass, taking with them part of what some call the soul.
A medium shot captures a person walking along a sidewalk at night, illuminated by the warm glow of streetlights. The person, viewed from the waist up, is positioned slightly to the right of the frame, walking left. They are wearing dark clothing: a dark jacket over a dark t-shirt and dark pants. The streetlights cast defined shadows, revealing the person's shadow stretching away from them on the sidewalk. To the person's right, a road runs parallel to the sidewalk, with a car in motion, depicted as a blurry streak of light, indicative of a long exposure photography technique. The car's headlights and taillights create distinct red and white light trails. On the opposite side of the road, on the horizon line and beyond a row of trees, buildings are visible with illuminated windows. The sky overhead is a dark, inky blue. The streetlights in the background appear as soft, circular glows, creating a bokeh effect.
