Cody's Eye Pure White Snow Talking Redeemed.
Cody's Eye Cloud Talking. . .
. . .and I looked.
I went outside in the snow to ask Spirit for today's message after a few unflattering comments to me today-grin. ( its called a spiritual battle) "AND" Look what scripture came through. . .
Biblically, Christ is our Redeemer, 2.0, again, 2,025A.D., cycle, Age,
because his life, death, and resurrection paid the price to free humanity from the bondage of sin and death. This act of redemption is understood as Jesus buying back or "purchasing" believers from their former state of slavery to sin with his own life, which was a ransom for many. As a result, Christians are set free and are no longer under condemnation but are reconciled to God.
The role of Christ as Redeemer
Paying the price: Christ's death on the cross is seen as the payment for the debt of sin that humanity could not pay itself. This is often described as the "blood of Christ" being the costly price for our redemption.
Deliverance from sin and death: Christ's death and resurrection rescue believers from the power of sin and death, ending their slavery to sin and restoring their relationship with God.
A legal and familial role: Christ is also seen as a "kinsman-redeemer," a role from the Old Testament where a relative would buy back a family member or their property. As the Son of God, Jesus holds the "bloodline" to redeem humanity.
A gift of grace: Redemption is a gift received by grace through faith in Christ, not through human works or merit.
A call to a new life: Because believers are redeemed, they are called to live lives free from the slavery of sin and to reflect the character of their Redeemer, living holy lives of love and service.
